How can Genetically Modified foods help?

 

Genetically modifying food products can increase the amount of vital micronutrients found in those crops which improves their overall nutritional quality and combats micronutrient deficiencies! Also, these crops can be modified so that their seeds produce higher yields which can feed a rapidly growing population. The Genetic Modification of staple food crops has significant potential to greatly improve not only the amount of food produced, but also the nutritional value of diets in developing countries. There are many other applications of GMOs which improve crop protection and resiliency.
